As a Design Engineer - Outfitting (Electrical), you will be working closely within the team onsite client location in order to execute their design engineering projects.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Preparation of model, drawings and other engineering deliverables in line with project and yard requirements.
  • Preparing engineering deliverables, assuring that they are mistake free and in line with required project standards.
  • Working in accordance with relevant work instructions and OHS requirements.
  • Preparation of electrical design drawings following Class Rules and guidance from responsible engineer.
  • Preparation of detailed production design for electrical and electrical related outfitting including 3D model.
  • Producing electrical production and installation drawings like cables and cable tray routings etc.
  • Preparation of bill of materials and weight calculations.
  • Inspection on board vessel or assemblies for preparation, verification or improvement. Identification of changes in client provided drawings and documents, preparation mark-ups for Technical Quarries and variation orders, as and when required.
  • Ensure that the Safety, Quality Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head / manager.
  • Willing to re-locate on client site either domestic or International on short notice.
  • Any other associated task or responsibilities assigned from time to time by the organization

Job Requirements:

  • You are a diploma/graduate in electrical or equivalent with minimum work experience of 2 years.
  • You have worked on detail and basic design projects in area of electrical design.
  • Cadmatic or Ship Constructor experience preferred.
  • You have Technical knowledge of installation requirements of electrical, control and communication equipment in basic, detail and production stages for marine / offshore platforms etc.
  • You have good communication skills and enjoy helping customers.
  • You have minute attention to detail and seek perfection in your work.
  • You would like to continue to develop your technical intra-personal knowledge and use it to retain create satisfied customers.
  • You are ready to serve minimum service commitment of 2 yrs in our company.
