The Role

The Director of Technology works closely with various teams within the Sustainalytics business unit (Product Management, Research, Methodology, etc) to monitor strategic initiatives and identify opportunities to improve our product suite. They work with analytical and development teams across Sustainalytics plus all IT teams to create, maintain and support product offerings.

Responsibilities

+ Manage a team of Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Database Engineers and Data Analysts to ensure high productivity and high-quality product development.

+ Collaborate with product management, compliance, and other global teams to track and

implement new functional requests.

Requirements

+ A Master’s degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.

+ Over 10 years of experience in leading and managing software teams, using agile.

+ Strong technical abilities (preferably in the Java, Python and Unix space) with experience using

AWS technologies

+ Proven leader, entrepreneur, and visionary capable of achieving results through effective

team management.

+ Passionate about growing business and achieving commercial successes.

+ Motivated to deliver sustainable, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and foster relationships.

+ Self-directed and detail oriented.

+ Able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
