Job Title: FB Steward/Service AssociateNo. of Positions : 10Location: Jharkhand, IndiaJob DescriptionAs an FB Steward in Jharkhand, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in restaurants, hotels, or other dining establishments. Your role will involve ensuring a memorable dining experience by delivering efficient and courteous service while adhering to established standards and procedures.Responsibilities

• Guest Service: Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, escort them to their tables, and assist with seating arrangements. Take food and beverage orders, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about the menu.
• Order Processing: Enter guests’ orders accurately into the point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring special requests or dietary restrictions are noted. Communicate orders to the kitchen and bar staff promptly and coordinate the delivery of food and beverages to the tables.
• Table Maintenance: Set up dining tables with appropriate utensils, napkins, and condiments. Monitor tables to ensure they are properly cleared, cleaned, and reset for new guests. Attend to guests’ needs during their dining experience, such as refilling water glasses and providing additional utensils or condiments.
• Product Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation. Stay updated on daily specials, promotions, and any changes to the menu. Offer recommendations and provide accurate information to assist guests in making their dining choices.
• Upselling and Revenue Generation: Actively promote additional food and beverage offerings, such as appetizers, desserts, and specialty drinks. Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance guests’ dining experiences and contribute to revenue generation for the establishment.
• Service Efficiency: Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages, coordinating with the kitchen and bar staff to maintain an efficient flow of service. Monitor the dining area for any issues or guest concerns, and promptly address them to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the dining area, service stations, and workstations. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, following proper sanitation procedures and handling food and beverages in a safe manner.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow FB stewards, kitchen staff, and other team members to provide seamless service. Assist colleagues when necessary, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive and cohesive work environment.

Requirements

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Previous experience as an FB steward, waiter/waitress, or in a customer service role is an advantage.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills in English and/or local languages spoken in Jharkhand. Ability to effectively interact with guests, understand their needs, and provide appropriate recommendations and solutions.
• Customer Focus: Passion for providing exceptional customer service. Friendly demeanor, patience, and ability to handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and empathy.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to accurately record and process orders. Ability to anticipate guests’ needs, monitor table turnover, and ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Multi-Tasking: Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of service quality and efficiency.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, cooperating with colleagues and supporting them to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, as per the operational requirements of the establishment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays or food items, and perform tasks that may require physical exertion.

Eligibility - 10th standard and above. All the incumbents must be undergoing the final stage of the relevant training programme or must have completed one.Food and Accommodation - Food (all meals) and Accommodation will be provided to all the employees/Trainees on a complimentary basis.Salary - 9k and above per month (depending upon relevant experience)This job is provided by Shine.com
