The purpose of the role is to head the QA function of the India office & provide necessary technical & managerial guidance to immediate team members & other cross-functional teams/membersTechnical Skills :- 10-15 years of experience of hands-on experience in Quality Engineering.- Major areas include but not limited to: Java, Load/Performance testing, Database testing, Debugging Skills, Root Cause Analysis, End to end testing & application testing.- Minimum two years of experience in mobile application testing, usage of tools like Appium, both for Android & IOS apps.- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on exposure on performance testing, usage of tools like JMeter or any equivalent tool.- Hands-on expose to database testing (Mysql, MS-SQL preferred)- Knowledge of git, setting up regression suites and CI build systems.- Hands-on exposure in working with TestNG with Rest Assured, Junit framework.- Exposure to functional testing, regression testing- Hands-on exposure to CI/CD Jenkins configuration and job setup, automated deployments, performance test run, regression test run, automated reports- Working experience on Agile/Scrum framework- Experience in mobile Performance testing or mobile Security testing will be a plus.- Parallel Execution, cross-platform Testing will be a plus- Hands-on exposure to containerized environment Docker, Kubernetes will be preferred.- Knowledge of Automation Testing is desirable- ISTQB certification is a mustJob Responsibilities :- Managing & Leading a team of multiple QA members and helping them setup the best QA Practices- Provide hands-on leadership to Software QA engineers and play an integral role in complete end to end verification of the company components.- Serve as a hands-on member of the QA team, assisting on projects where needed- Encourage skill and career growth development within the team in parallel with ongoing mentorship and support.- Work closely with product owners and development managers to meet SQA commitments and align delivery priorities with business objectives.- Establish tight collaboration and feedback loops between various teams to improve the release process and maximize resource utilization in a fast-paced environment.- Earn trust through regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control- Evangelize testing methodologies, best practices and tools with goals to continuously improve test coverage through both manual and automated processes.- Be responsible for identifying risks and working with the appropriate development owners to ensure critical and high-risk items are prevented before release- Work with scrum team and all other stakeholders on ensuring features are released on time with quality to the Release Engineering team- Be a trusted partner for senior management to determine best solutions, help drive alignment and implement decisions throughout your team.Additional Skills :- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively.- A self-starter with the demonstrated ability to take initiative and can proactively identify issues/ opportunities & provide recommend actions (ref:hirist.com)
