Job description


Brief Role Profile


  • GL & FA process delivery and review and report performance of team
  • Review Trial Balance
  • Review key monthly reports and forward to Business Partner
  • Initiate period close activities on SAP Closing Cockpit
  • Perform Soft Close and review adjustments made in system
  • Manage all period end close related activities
  • Act as primary contact between Plants, HO & SSC
  • Give inputs for Asset Code creation
  • Pass entries related to Fixed Assets (Eg: Transfer, Sale, Scrap)
  • Run monthly settlement and do capitalization
  • Run depreciation and do reporting related to FA
  • Coordinate physical verification
  • Review associate output JVs, Provisions, reports, docs etc.
  • Make amendments to closing calendar (as per Business Partner)
  • Review any errors and forward to right team to resolve
  • Post entries related to asset purchase, sale, scrap, transfer
  • Manage workload and SLAs
  • Acts as a first point of escalation
  • Report / Analyze key metrics
  • Align individual and team performance with SSCs performance objectives

Competency


  • Finance process expertise Specialized in GL/FA and broad understanding 2-3 others
  • Shared Services Finance tools/ tech. (SAP)
  • Experience in managing teams • Strong business understanding
  • Strong financial & analytical acumen

Educational Qualifications


  • Masters Degree / Professional Qualifications / Certified Accountant
  • 10-12 yrs Exp
