Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Leading the Data Management team in the areas of end to end lifecycle for full stack development. The role of theData Management team is to conceptualize robust and scalable data platform for the enterprise. This team isresponsible to define and manage Data Management strategy for the group. It acts as an enabler to variousBusiness, IT and Technology team to devise data driven solutions.

    REPORTING
    -Functional Reporting – Head of Data Management

    Key Areas of Accountability

    • Align software development with overall data strategy
    • Develop and manage roadmap for end to end full stack development
    • Define guiding principles, standards, taxonomy etc for the core tenets of full stack development
    • Subject matter expert for various business and functions to design full stack solutions
    • Guide rapid pilots for data projects within business driven by a clearly articulated business valueproposition
    • Ancillary industry development and co-operation with various vendors / parties
    • Network with various OEMs and service providers
    • Co-ordination and communication with Business, IT, Operations etc.
    KEY areas/ factors/ conditions in which incumbent should have experience
    • Champion critical group wide Full Stack projects in alignment with strategy at the group and business levels
    • Act as an SME from a full stack development standpoint and provide valuable insights at group/ businessprojects; Specify requirements, in conjunction with data utilization, to transform business with data driveninsights
    • Work in partnership with different SMEs and develop a mutually beneficial relationship to add value toprojects at a business and group level

    Qualifications:

    Masters in Engineering / Technology or Post-graduation in Business Administration from a reputed Global or
    Indian institute or Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field
    Bachelors in Engineering from a reputed university

    Experience:

    Experience 10+ years in relevant sectors, either in an operating company, or in a top Tier Strategy Consultingfirm
    Proven track record in designing / building and deploying cutting edge full stack solutions for large-scaleorganizations
    Proven data literacy — The ability to describe business use cases / outcomes, data sources and managementconcepts, and analytical approaches / options. The ability to translate among the languages used by executive,business, IT and quant stakeholders.
    Information strategy experience — Experience in strategic technology planning and execution, and policydevelopment and maintenance.
    Analytical skills — Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Familiarity with business information generation and analysis methods.
    Experience of working with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
    Experience in developing desktop and mobile applications with appealing visual design
    Familiarity with common stacks
    Experience with designing client-side and server-side architecture of the web application
    Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
    Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, .Net, PHP, Python, etc.) and JavaScript frameworks(e.g. Angular, React, Node.js, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, etc.)
    Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
    Understanding of server-side languages (e.g. Jade, EJS, Jinja, etc.)
    Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications
    Experience in Data visualization tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.
    Experience with rapid prototyping
    Experience on testing, troubleshooting, debugging and upgrading software to ensure responsiveness andefficiency
    Experience on development and management of well-functioning databases and applications
    Experience with formulating security and data protection settings
    Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
    Ability to write technical documentation
    Familiarity with agile methodologies
    Familiarity with CI-CD pipelines
