Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
- Proven experience 1+ years as an HR Generalist with a strong emphasis on payroll processing.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, taxes, and labour laws.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and relationships at all levels.
- Detail-oriented, organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous.
- Payroll Management:
- Administer end-to-end payroll processes, including accurate calculation of salaries, taxes, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to payroll processing.
- Handle timely and accurate disbursement of salaries, bonuses, and other compensation components.
- Resolve any payroll-related discrepancies or issues promptly.
- HR Operations:
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process by coordinating job postings, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews.
- Facilitate new employee onboarding, ensuring all necessary paperwork, orientations, and trainings are completed.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage employee benefits and leave administration, addressing inquiries and facilitating smooth processes.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders regarding HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Handle employee queries, concerns, and grievances while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and understanding of HR practices.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Stay up-to-date with labour laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance in all HR-related matters.
- Prepare and submit required HR reports, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Performance Management:
- Support performance appraisal processes, assisting managers in setting goals and providing feedback to employees.
- Assist in developing and implementing employee development plans and training programs.
- Employee Engagement:
- Contribute to creating a positive and engaging work environment by organizing team-building activities, events, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies that promote employee satisfaction and retention.
