Decide on make-or-buy for components by discussing with Costing, Manufacturing, Purchase and marketing teams for the most optimum method of responding to RFQ 4. Responsible for design calculations, DRM release and assist production related to Engineering - queries CANDIDATES REQUIRED FROM Industrial Gear Box manufacturers ONLY. Exposure to Gear design calculations using Kiss Soft. Exposure/Knowledge to Manufacturing process, specific to gears..GOOD ENGLISH ORAL N WRITTEN COMMUNICATION.ENGINEERING MODELLING- SOLID WORK SOFTWARE. CTC UP TO 7 YEARS EXPERIENCE FOR SR ENGINEER RS.7.00 TO 7.50 LACS PA & ABOVE 7 YEARS UP TO 12 YEARS CTC FROM 12.00 LACS TO 12.50 LACS. Requirements for R&D / NPD position Primary Requirement (Must) Gear industry exposure 1) At least have 4 years of experience in Gear manufacturing company. (Position requirement is for 4 to 8 years, for Sr Engineer / Asst. Manager) 2) An engineer, who has experience on--- i) Enquiry estimation using gear design procedures/KissSoft; ii) Expertise in modeling using solidworks (or any other software), iii) Expertise in Drafting using Autocad/solidworks/any other software. iv) Experience of Reverse Engg of Gearbox v) New Product development (Gearbox) 3) Should have worked in industry accompanied with manufacturing shop; Responsibility of the design engineer shall include resolving design issues in manufacturing and assembly for his design. 4) Knowledge of GD & T / Design for Manufacturing Software Usage & Design calculation 5) KissSoft usage for atleast 3 years is a must. 6) Theoretical and application knowledge for designing a Gearbox using KissSoft 7) Candidates having designed and developed new series of Catalogue products will be a desired experienced. Secondary Requirement Non-Tech Requirements 8) This is R&D-NPD position as Individual contributor. 9) BE/B.Tech (Mechanical Engg) with good academics background. 10) Development would require knowledge of application using first principles. 11) Written and oral communication should be good 12) Preferably local from Coimbatore and around. 13) A candidate having far-off native places needs to reviewed/Confirmed for a long term association with the company. Others Companies preferred Ex-Shanthi is preferred Candidates from local small companies are also ok, but with minimum 4 years relevant Primary requirements / experience Any Gear manufacturing company which manufactures Non-Standard Gearbox. Candidates who are in having experience only in off-the-shelf-selection of Gearbox from standard catalogue products is not preferred. Candidates experienced with only in service industries is not preferred. It can be considered as an added experience. SHOULD KNOW WHAT IS YIELD, ULTIMATE AND ENDURANCE LIMITS. WHICH TYPE OF FIT IS s6/H7 AND WHERE IT IS USED. SHOULD BE USING KIssSOFT 2019 OR 2020 VERSION AND SHOULD KNOW THE MODULES THIS KIssSOFT IS USED. WHAT IS "SH" FACTOR IN KIssSOFT DESIGN CALCULATIONS. SHOULD KNOW ABOUT USING SURFACE GRINDING OPERATION, HOW MUCH SURFACE FINISH VALUE CAN BE OBTAINED. SHOULD HAVE HANDLED AT LEAST 15 GEAR BOXES DESIGNING IN LAST 4 YEARS.
