Position Summary:

The role requires working collaboratively across the Technology, Product and Commercial organizations to ensure alignment towards business goals. In this role, you will build strong relationships with cross-functional team members and business stakeholders. We are looking for an ambitious, talented, and self-motivated individual, who will serve as a functional leader and help us evolving our next generation platform.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Engineering Manager will lead cross functional team of developers, product owners, scrum masters to deliver world class eCommerce solutions.
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for hiring, coaching, career building, creating development plans and evaluating performance of team members.
• Lead team to contribute to solid designs, solutions, development and operations for eCommerce web applications.
• Employ continuous improvement methodologies, customer first mentality, increase productivity, and make recommendations using relevant KPIs.
• Collaborate with Architects, Solution Owners and Program Managers to develop a long-term roadmap with achievable estimates; ensure Engineering priorities are included in the roadmap.
• Help shape a culture of security, performance, reliability, support and maintainability of responsible applications.
• Be equally comfortable taking personal ownership of tasks and delegating to others as necessary.
• Embrace working in fast pace environment, self-directed, and manage concurrent priorities.

Essential Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent degree.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of technical team leadership and 2+ years of technical people manager experience.
• Must have prior development experience, delivering projects using Java, Spring, or similar language/web-frameworks.
• Prior experience with eCommerce web applications will be big plus.
• Prior experience using microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and tools such as DataDog, Splunk highly desirable.
• DevOps Experience with building AWS cloud-native applications.
• Good knowledge of unit/automated tests (BDD/TDD), CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, SAFe desired.
• Experience decomposing monolithic applications
• Distributed system architecture
• Must have proven track record of taking ownership and providing technical leadership during critical production troubleshooting sessions.
• Must possess excellent organizational, communication skills (technical and business), be persuasive, able to listen, and incorporate perspectives of others.
