There is an urgent need of a Mixing Engineer as the team is working on multiple projects at a time and we need to gear up the process as well. A candidate if applies for the position, it will give much more experience of the work done on industrial basis and gain more knowledge from the senior team members as well.

The position is on contract basis of the project duration and this post is not referred as full-time. The salary expected depends on the project and the skills of the Mixing Engineer.

Responsibility and Qualification:-

  • Technical proficiency: The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with mixing and mastering in a variety of digital audio workstations (DAWs), including Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and Ableton Live. They should also be familiar with various plugins and tools used in mixing, such as EQ, compression, reverb, and delay.
  • Attention to detail: A good mixing engineer should have a meticulous approach to their work, ensuring that every element of the score is perfectly balanced and EQ’d to create a cohesive sound. They should be able to identify and address any issues in the mix, such as muddy frequencies or unwanted noise, and take steps to correct them.
  • Creativity: While technical proficiency is crucial, a great mixing engineer should also have a creative flair, able to add their own unique touch to the mix and bring out the emotion and drama of the score. They should be able to collaborate with the composer and other members of the team to achieve a shared vision for the sound of the score.
  • Experience with cinematic scores: Ideally, the candidate should have previous experience mixing and mastering cinematic scores for film or television, as this will give them a good understanding of the specific requirements and challenges of this genre.
  • Communication skills: Finally, the ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, able to work closely with the composer, director, and other members of the team to ensure that the final mix meets their expectations. They should be able to take feedback and make changes as required, while also offering their own suggestions and ideas for improving the mix.
