Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed technical understanding of all components to facilitate planning activities working with the Product Management organization and other key internal stakeholders as well as identify the connections and dependencies among other teams.
  • Manage Release milestones and schedules or release trains across product lines and ensure the engineering teams are aligned with the release model for predictable releases.
  • Quickly and effectively, identify and clarify the critical issues and drive appropriate decisions and actions. Communicate results clearly and in actionable form.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement of the policies, process, practices, and templates associated with stage-gate process.
  • Develop change management strategies and plans including an assessment of risk, readiness, and resistance.
  • Clear understanding on change categories like regular change, standard change, business as usual, critical patches, vulnerability patches, infrastructure changes, service pack roll outs, major and minor releases, break fixes etc.
  • Chairing the Change Management Board (CAB) and Executive Change Management Board (eCAB) meetings to ensure all change requests are thoroughly scanned for any potential disruptions.
  • Maintain dashboards and publish reporting leveraging collaboration and program management tools such as JIRA, Excel, Confluence, Home Grown JAVA based tools providing real-time visibility across projects, products, releases, and changes streams.
  • Work with Incident and Problem Management teams to highlight the areas of improvement and drive collaboration efforts to make progress.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently while maintaining attention to the detail.
  • Willing to work with team members in a collaborative way always performing knowledge transfer to ensure their smooth operations of the department.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of overall change and release management experience
  • Ability to have general understanding about the technical aspect of the change being implemented.
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experince with large-scale organizational change efforts.
  • Ability to be able to corelate changes and perform impact analysis ensuring no fallouts.
  • Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
  • Strong, independent leader, who is a self-starter and a proven team player in a high achievement-oriented environment.
  • ITIL certification is a great asset.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field.
Additional Good to Have’s
  • Python or equivalent scripting language experience to automate risk evaluations and release reporting’s.
  • Infrastructure knowledge on compute, storage, and network to understand the impact of the change.
  • Experience releasing new products or roll-out of new processes.
  • Experience with Windows and UNIX Systems, .NET, and JAVA platform
