Below are the Job Details for the Project Managerposition

POSITION: Project Manager

WORK LOCATION: Vapi, Valsad district (GUJARAT) (may have to travel across Gujarat)

MIN QUALIFICATION:BE / B.Tech (Civil)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:8 to 12 years

TYPE OF PROJECTS:Residential Buildings, Commercial Buildings (Showrooms, Retail Stores, Warehouses), Industrial Parks development, Office buildings etc

JOB BRIEF:Managing the Projects team and taking care of the civil work of all new projects from start to end

Responsibilities:

• Prepare a detailed project plan detailing the various processes involved in the construction process as well as deciding on the project milestones.
• Do site visits to understand the land layout and inspect the existing structures
• Study the structural drawings provided by the architect for the concerned project and understand the quantity and type of materials required, manpower required as well as the construction methodology
• Do a detailed Cost Estimation of the project
• Take approval from the Director for the estimated cost of the project
• Make necessary modifications to the project plan to bring down the overall estimated cost of the project
• Preparation of BOQ and release RFPs to the respective vendors and suppliers and negotiate with them
• Monitor the project regularly to oversee whether the progress is as per the planned milestones or not
• If project is behind schedule, take corrective steps to bring it on schedule
• Deal with the subcontractors as well as the material suppliers to negotiate labour cost and material costs
• Approve payments to the vendors based on percentage completion of the project
• Ensure that all safety compliances are met at the project site
• Ensure that all the compliances related to BOCW Act are complied with
• Supervise the work of the site engineers and architects

Requirements:

• The candidate should be a dynamic person who is ready to travel across different work sites as and when required.
• Strong negotiation skills required to negotiate costs with workmen contractors and suppliers.
• The candidate should know the MS Project software to be used for Project Planning.
• The candidate should ideally be less than 40 years of age.
