ERM is seeking an experienced QA Automation Tester in India to join our global Digital Services business. This position requires experience in web application and database testing to help set-up an Automation testing for a product development team.

Responsibilities

• Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios.
• Work closely with the Product owners and write User Stories and acceptance criteria for the given product feature
• Execute tests on software usability.
• Build manual test pack to start with and then automate the test cases over the course of the product development.
• Create and set-up the automation testing framework from scratch and set-up best practices.
• Analyze test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
• Prepare reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team and developers.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
• Ensure that new software products are ready for consumer use.
• Work with development teams to prevent issues with new products.
• Test the frontend and backend of the application.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study. MCA preferable.
• Minimum 8 – 10 years of relevant software testing experience .
• At least 2 -3 years of Automation testing experience on Selenium or Cypress.
• Expert in Agile Project Methodology using Azure DevOps board for bug management applied to product development.
• Hands on knowledge of testing C#, .NET core, MVC, Typescript, HTML, and XML technology based applications required.
• Understanding of cross-browser development using core web development tools and technologies e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, Browserstack).
• Strong analytical skills to be able to translate from system requirements and user stories to detailed test cases.
• Hands-on knowledge of Selenium or Cypress tool for test Automation.
• Well versed with Testing/QA concepts and Manual testing.
• Familiarity with setting up testing environments for V & V activities.
• Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience in troubleshooting issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
