SUMMARY
The quantitative strategies team is looking to augment its research analytics capabilities and are looking to hire a partner that can create scalable and cutting edge analytics and IT solutions. The technology and analytics focused individual will help create tools that will enable the growth of the quantitative strategies business.
MAJOR DUTIES
  • Assist Quantitative Strategies team with the development and support of IT systems and tools that support functions such as research, portfolio management, strategy, marketing and index services
  • Assist the Index Services teams and portfolio management functions by supporting the client portfolio production process
  • Enhance the existing IT infrastructure to make it more robust and scalable
  • Analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents
  • Works within guidelines and policies
  • Work together with internal stakeholders to understand business requirement and provide timely updates on the progress
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, research and portfolio management teams to enable the sales and servicing process

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Experience in IT development and analytics preferably in financial services
  • Understanding of data analytics
  • Basic understanding of asset classes, investment strategies, portfolio construction, and analytical tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with investment, sales and servicing, research, marketing, sustainable investing, and product teams
  • Knowledge of programming such as SQL, Python, or equivalent preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; CFA or progress towards preferred
  • 2-3 years prior experience in a related capacity or obtained through academic coursework preferred
  • 2-3 year experience in Python, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, SQL or similar analytics and data visualizations tools
