Introduction
System Administrators are the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients. As a System Admin with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network. Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of, and access to, our most important resource: data.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Provides T3 support to the Dell EMC Avamar & Veritas NetBackup backup infrastructure at ATT (the Dell EMC Networker product environment will start to be used in 2020).
• Admins are responsible for all care for their assigned infrastructure.
• Regular activities include performing daily infrastructure health checks, monitoring capacity, addressing any infrastructure problems, solving complex client backup issues, and supporting complex restores. Additional tasks include performing regular software upgrades/patches as needed to maintain software currency.
• The admin is also responsible for addressing any security issues and providing support to special requests like audits and disaster recovery test efforts.
• When needed the admin will engage the appropriate vendor to address issues requiring their involvement. The job also requires collaboration with the T2 NetBackup administrators

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 6+years in EMC VMAX, DMX, EMC VNX, CLARIION, CELERRA and ISILON Series a. Installation, Configuration and upgradation administration on Windows, UNIX and Linux environments
• Hands-on experience in thin provisioning, Global Mirror and Metro Mirror.
• Product understanding, Advance troubleshooting & DR activities.
• Responsible to implement High Availability, Work Load Management and Fail Over, Disaster recovery.
• Designing, Implementation, Solutioning, Client facing, Implement standard methodologies & Performance monitoring.
• Proven debugging and analytical skills with solid grasp of system development methodologies, techniques and tool.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge on EMC SAN and NAS.
• Good Understanding on CLARIION, ISILON and VNX.
• Solid Knowledge on CISCO and Brocade Switches.
