Business Analyst- HRIS

Role Description

We are seeking a highly-skilled, professional HRIS Business Analyst to join our dynamic team.

In this position, you will contribute to operational initiatives within HRIS. You will help build world-class operations at scale and collaborate with the different stakeholders to diagnose, design and deploy business process, and system improvements.

In this role, you will work with subject matter experts, testing system changes, analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst is responsible for supporting HRMS upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities/Skills
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of business processes and applications for cross-functional stakeholders
    • Analyzes and documents business operations, decomposing functional processes and technologies that will provide the basis for delivery of future process and technology business operations impacts
    • Assist project teams in developing requirements, designing process and system solutions, creating test plans and deploying technical solutions
    • Produces effective documentation of project and system deliverables, including business/functional requirements, gap analyses, technical requirements, data flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, business charters, meeting minutes, etc.
    • Compiles business and technical test plans and use cases with business partners. Also performs detailed analysis to compile effective test plans, user stories/cases, interface specifications, and report specifications
    • Performs iterative demonstrations of process and system solutions guiding business users through solution deployments
    • Works with business partners to develop acceptance criteria and plans that assure business acceptance, ensuring the solution meets the business requirements
    • Provide regular updates and communicate business concerns or feedback to the Project Manager/Team as appropriate
    • Drive AMO support and process efficiencies with the Partners
    • Identifies and communicates risks and issues; and participates in planning and administration of training programs related to the launch of new solutions.
    • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.
  • Utilizes core business systems to research current data and business processes, generate reports and propose potential business solutions
    • Prepares meaningful data analysis to draw conclusions and execute process or data management improvements
    • Helps team research system issues, identify root causes and drive solutions
    • Maintains Business Systems knowledge management assets to allow effective capturing, and developing Business Systems assets
Experience & Expertise
  • At least 3-5 years’ technical support experience
  • HRIS experience a must or plus
  • Experience with complementary SaaS solutions - Workday, ServiceNow etc
  • Must have strong grasp on accounting principles, both in theory and practical application, including but not limited to the following areas: revenue recognition, cost accounting and internal controls.
  • Excellence in problem solving a must (to include multiple potential applications solutions or process challenges)
  • Confident working with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills required to collaborate with project teams
