Position: Lead Engineer / Senior Lead Engineer

Job Profile: Buyer

Department: Procurement India - Global Aftermarket Purchase & Proposals

Qualification: Graduate in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred) / Any other Engineering

Experience: 4 - 6 years

Reporting to YOGANATHAN DURAISAMY (DY-IN)

Job Responsibility (Primary)
1. Examine and analyze departmental Purchase Requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information.
2. Understanding Engineering Drawings & Technical Specifications
3. Sending inquires to Global Vendors and follow-up to receive offers on time.
4. Validating Supplier quotes in line with Purchase Requisition/Requirement
5. Commercial and Technical knowledge in Vendor offer evaluations.
6. Effective Negotiation, Finalization and cost optimization.
7. Vendor selection and order placement through Oracle/ERP.
8. Expedite and get order acknowledgement & goods on time from vendors.
9. Effective planning and execution of the sales order within budget cost and within Customer P.O. delivery date.
10. Effective handling of customer complaints if any, after dispatch/Installation.
11. Meet Team and Individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

1. Knowledge of Purchasing practices and procedures.
2. Should have Good Oral and written communication skills in English.
3. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
4. Pro-active, determined and dynamic
5. Good planning and organizing skills
6. Good team player
7. Knowledge of Cement & Mining plant Equipments & Spare Parts
8. Knowledge in MS-Excel/ Word, Outlook proficiency is essential
9. Knowledge in ERP/Oracle system will be an added advantage
10. Skill in Foreign Language-Spain will be an added advantage
