Software Engineer

About this role:

Software Development position responsible for design, implementation, and support of .NET based applications to help fulfill our Research & Consulting Delivery strategy.

What you’ll do:

• Designing, implementing, unit, integration testing and supporting .NET based applications and services

• Contribute to the review and analysis of business requirements to create technical specifications

• Collaborate on architecture and technical design discussions

• Lead and participate in code reviews, peer inspections and technical design/specifications

• Documenting and review detailed design

• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve business process issues and identify business process improvement opportunities

• Responsibility for resolving all issues assigned in a timely manner

• Perform support and maintenance tasks to address production issues reported by clients

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the field of software development.

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in software development. Web based application development experience is required.

• .NET experience with a relational database is required.

• Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, .NET framework, Visual Studio

• Knowledge of integration and web services technologies (HTTP, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON)

• Experience building scalable data models and performing complex relational databases queries using SQL (Oracle, MySQL, PostGres), etc.

• ReactJS or Angularjs experience is needed.

• Knowledge of AWS or Microsoft Azure is a plus

• Experience in all phases of a systems development lifecycle

• Scrum software development methodology experience is a plus

• Excellent software development and object-oriented design fundamentals with a strong background in architecting software applications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with other teams

• Good problem-solving skills
