Job Description

The Manager position is the precursor to the Associate Principal and Principal Positions, and therefore part of the ZS leadership ladder. Every Manager leads one or more ‘Spaces’, i.e. business units focused either on a specific client, or a specific expertise area. Therefore, ZS Managers are responsible for innovation, thought leadership, relationship management, people growth and defining-running-refining their space operating model, guided closely by Principals. Managers leverage their experience to take responsibility for projects and lead client and ZS-leader relationships immediately. Managers enter ZS either as generalists across practice areas or industries, or as specialists within one area.

Job Responsibilities:

Partner with our leaders to drive new business development and build sustained client relationships

Consistently lead teams to deliver high-quality work products within expected time frames and on budget

Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge while staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client’s business

Monitor progress, manage risk, and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes

Play a key role in development of new consulting capabilities and offerings

Direct multiple projects simultaneously, honing analytic and project management skills

Motivate, coach, and serve as a role model for project team members with diverse skills and backgrounds

Qualifications

10-14 years’ work experience through consulting work or within as an industry leader (a combination of experience is preferred)

Approximately 4-6 years of prior management consulting experience, preferably in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry;

Knowledge of growth marketing activities like strategic brand segmentation, value proposition, and positioning is preferred

Demonstrated experience growing relationships and driving professional services revenue within existing clients

MBA from a top university strongly preferred, with a record of strong academic performance

Highly analytical with strong quantitative skills

Analytic problem-solving skills, with an ability both to see the big picture and delve into details;

Extensive team management and project delivery experience

Experience leading a virtual team of consulting professionals across multiple projects

Excellent organization & planning skills and willingness to travel to meet client needs
