Job Purpose

GSK’s RWDMP (Real-World Data Management and Programming) team partners closely with RWA (Real-World Analytics) and Value Evidence and Outcomes (VEO) team to support drug development and patient access. We are an in-house data and analytics team set up to provide insight into the patterns, burden, and occurrence of disease, cost and healthcare utilization, and the safety and effectiveness and other outcomes of treatment. RWDMP provides analytic support for all phases of research in priority markets, with full analytic support for rapid analytics and in-sourced studies (data licensed by GSK) and consulting support for out-sourced studies. Our goal is to provide objective evidence of the value of our medicines through the analysis of electronic health records, administrative claims, patient registries and other observational health data sources, as well as post-hoc analysis of randomized clinical trial (RCT) data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify issues and gaps in existing processes with minimal supervision and make the processes efficient with help of technology (SAS/R/Python codes, dashboards) so that the results obtained are of high quality in quicker turnaround time with minimal supervision
  • Works on digital biomarker data from clinical studies and external data sources
  • Acquires healthcare industry knowledge while working and learn from colleagues
  • Develop understanding of all applicable policies and procedures; executes assigned tasks with high quality, integrity, and attention to detail (with some supervision); performs Quality Control (QC) of own work independently
  • Complete any post audit/inspection activities within the required timeline
  • Must understand specification document and ask right questions and plan programming around it
  • Communicates effectively and precisely on regular projects updates, flags risks proactively, negotiates on reasonable timelines, presents study insights and outcomes
  • Understands and quickly adapts to the change in scope of day-to-day work and guides team members to adapt to the new change
  • Is a reliable trusted knowledge partner to stakeholders, acts as a single point of contact for stakeholder for their study related needs
  • Should be a team player and collaborate with same or other team members for high quality output/impactful analysis with supervision
  • Must embrace and be compliant to the defined GSK culture
  • Should take accountability of their regular work
  • "Highly Proficient level of knowledge in Python programming language
  • Proficient level of knowledge in Data Science algorithms (classical ML, deep learning, standard data-preprocessing steps)
  • Completes programming activities under minimal supervision
  • Reads and understands Digital Biomarker project requirements and implement them in code with minimal supervision
  • Develop good understanding of the role of a programmer to perform required activities
  • Develop good understanding of current programming best practices.
Expected Delivery
  • High quality deliverables adhering to timelines using their expertise Python programming and Digital Data Science knowledge
  • Must adhere to SOPs like QC checklist, programming best practices, folder structure maintenance, error tracking etc.
  • Must work in collaboration with RWA as well as other teams in RWDMP to leverage various skills across the teams to achieve best results in a study
  • Basic to moderate data interpretation
  • High quality and reliable review and research
  • Must be able to perform peer QC to ensure quality deliverables within the team
