Job Title Director, People & Capability Partner (HRBP) This position will report into Vice President People and Capability (HR) and will have strong alignment with Business Unit, Global P&C and the Senior Business Leadership of Mastercard. The incumbent is required to develop a people strategy and initiatives designed to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This role will serve as an advocate for employees and will develop and implement initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement, development and productivity. The incumbent will act as a positive cultural change agent, consultant and business advisor to the executive team, enabling the execution of their business strategies and initiatives. Provides leadership support and counsel to the organization in the areas of workforce planning, recruiting, training and career development, organization design, performance management, compensation, recognition and change management. This is a multifaceted position requiring a broad combination of skills spanning human resources, general management capabilities, and solid understanding of business functions, roles and responsibilities. Responsibilities
  • Directs and oversees the People and Capability (Human Resources) function the assigned Line of Business, providing leadership, guidance and support to ensure the appropriate interpretation, implementation and execution of applicable company and divisional policies, procedures and programs in compliance with all pertinent regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement human capital strategies and initiatives and management of human resources activities globally.
  • Partners with business leadership to achieve business results by creating synergy and driving strategies throughout the organization and leveraging resources to support short and long term objectives.
  • Works with the leadership team to drive broad cultural change and positions the organization for long-term success by helping to build a high performing workforce.
  • Analyses and presents workforce information to the leadership team that enables good decision making and encourages the focus around key people issues.
  • Ensures human capital management practices and programs align with and are in compliance with corporate HR policies and standards.
  • Serve as a strategic member of the leadership team, including identifying issues and proposing solutions
  • Encourage a positive working environment and strong employee retention by working to understand manager and employee needs and challenges
  • Manage employee relations, including providing advice and counsel to employees, managers and leadership
  • Partner with the leadership team and other managers to ensure communication is effective and employee communication needs are met Drives corporate Human Resources initiatives including; performance management, succession planning, individual development planning, training, etc Due to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
