Main Purpose of the Job:

The real purpose of the role is to digitise and utilise and expand their seller network for wider assortment and attain higher share of customers wallet through synergies with a Digital First approach. The role revolves around to disrupt the distributive trade business via modern concepts of AI /ML, Dynamic Delivery Optimiser, Personalisation, Mobile Native, etc. thereby putting their customers at the heart of everything they do.

A release manager would have to closely with product managers for build release cycles of multiple IT products required to support overall growth agenda. A suitable candidate would be leading a mid-size team of developers, architects testers. She/He would be responsible for meticulous planning of platform releases for new and existing IT products with minimal disruption to business operations. She/He would need to prioritise and take independent decisions, evaluate the risks, and plan appropriate mitigations.

Below are the key expectations from this role:

  • Lead a team of full stack developers following Agile process and methodologies in delivering features and functionalities across the release cycles
  • Identify key inter-dependencies across the multiple product release and aligning with the overall project and programmer agenda delivery
  • Adopt and implement the best practices in software engineering through the development and release cycle
  • Embed quality assurance in heart of the development through both automated and manual processes
  • Develop and maintain risk log and align the mitigation plans with all the key stakeholders
  • Support the recruitment and nurture best of talent the in the market
  • Bring coutside-in perspective to the development cycle through competitive bench-marking of the company Marketplace IT products
  • Conduct the Sprint processes Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospective.
