Position Overview:Join as an Energy Market Analyst/ Data Analyst for Power Market Operations Department, responsible for analysing and interpreting extensive datasets associated with electricity trading in India. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing data models, algorithms, and tools to drive informed decision-making for stakeholders. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll identify process enhancement opportunities and contribute to automation initiatives.

This role involves creating comprehensive reports and dashboards to visualize data insights for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all sources. Additionally, you’ll monitor and report on key performance indicators, supporting the Head of Operations in managing market operations, compliance reporting, and implementing operational projects. Candidates with additional expertise in Power BI, Python, and advanced MS Excel are preferred. These skills, coupled with your commitment, further solidify your place in our journey to shape the future of energy trading.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyse, and interpret large sets of data related to electricity trading in India
• Develop data models, algorithms, and tools to support decision-making for our stakeholders
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
• Create reports and dashboards to visualize data insights and share them with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all data sources
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators and metrics related to power market operations
• To manage and assist the Head of Operations in functioning of Market Operations, MIS, Compliance reporting internal and to Regulators.
• To assist on the development and implementation of the Operations project, assist in the day-to-day bidding, Matching, generating MCP and MCV of products and market reporting.
• Provide support to the market operation functions and data analysis function.
• Work independently and collaboratively with other divisions to deliver high-quality results for high-priority and time-sensitive tasks/projects.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have completed Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Engineering Or /and MBA in Power Management / Power System and certifications as Data Analyst, Power BI or Similar software.
• Relevant Min 2-3+Years experience as Data Analyst roles or similar analyst responsibilities in Power/Energy Trading Sector Preferred. You should have a thorough understanding of data management, data mining, data modelling , data analysis, data visualisation and programming languages. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Candidate with Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, R, or SQL Preferred
• Preferred Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, PowerBIsoftware
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
