Your Job

Responsible for the design and development of I/O(input/output) external cable products. Manages new product creation & modifications through the complete implementation process to develop product that meet or exceed product performance per internal Molex standards, industry standards or customer specifications. Creating Sales drawing, BOMsand Assembly/Components drawing for I/O cables. Good Interaction with Marketing, Manufacturing, Electrical engineering, AQP and software team.

Design and development of external I/O cables and DSS product.

What You Will Do

Design and development activities inNPD (New Product Development), SPO (standard product option) and MOD (modification) projects as per customer requirement with Molex PDP process.

Follow NPI and PDP process to develop and implement new products per industry standards on time.

Create good quality Sales drawing and BOMs for SPO and MOD product (I/O).

Develop qualification plans to validate the products as per Industry standards.

Good knowledge of Metrology, Geometric dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Tolerance analysis.

Lead complex new product development, from concept generation to DFMEA, DFM/DFA, prototyping, and testing.

Understand the functional requirements of a product and ensure that the design changes meet the functional requirements.

Independently conduct design reviews and possess the ability to check and approve product designs.

Responsible for creating test specifications, deciding test methods, DVP preparations, testing, and validation.

Apply RCA Methodologies to resolve plant issues effectively to support plant.

Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Work globally with teams to bring products to production.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

REQUIRED:

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical

PREFERRED:

Same as above

WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

3-5 years design experience of electromechanical products - components and assemblies

PREFERRED:

Strong in NX tool, should possess good knowledge in Electromechanical product development, designing plastic, sheet metal & machined components

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

REQUIRED:

  • Working Knowledge of PLM software (Team Center)
  • Proficient in solid modeling experience to generate 3D models & 2-D drawings using NX tool.
  • Experience in DFM, DFMEA, Tolerance stack-upand Component validation& Qualification
  • Experience in design & development of electromechanical Products
  • Possess good knowledge in Manufacturing, Fabricationand Plastic Components
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and in a team.
  • Travel will be required as necessary

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Design and manufacturing knowledge of plastic & sheet metal components and Assemblies.
Proficient in Siemens NX.
