Position : CAD Design Engineer

Education : Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering

Reporting : Reports to Engineering Manager

Position Summary

CAD Design Engineer responsible for developing the 2D drawings & 3D models & assemblies of cutting tools in indexable & round tools like milling, Drilling, turning, boring, grooving etc.

Broad Outline of Duties and Responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD, Uni Graphics NX8.5/12(Modelling, Assembly & drafting) & CAD simulation
  • Design, 3D model as well as drafting & creating drawing to use of product manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of preparing workload & download the models from SAP
  • Design 3D Model & master insert according to ISO 13399
  • Quality check for all 2D,3D models, approved & upload on SAP
  • According to ISO, create & exchange of simplified 3D models of cutting item, tool items, adaptive items using the related properties.
  • Assume additional roles & responsibilities as required, capable of handling multiple projects.
  • Interaction with team members to meet & optimize product design requirements.
  • Adherence to quality process, on time delivery & quality of the deliverables

Profile
  • Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering having 3 to 5 Yrs. of experience.
  • Sound knowledge in drafting 2D drawings in Auto CAD & 3D models in UG NX8.5/12
  • Knowledge of geometrical dimensions & tolerances
  • Basic knowledge of cutting tools & machining process will be additional advantage.
  • Analytical skills & logical thinking, effective data management & reporting
  • User knowledge in MS office
  • Coordination within the team & overseas team, strong communication, interpersonal skills, ability to work with deadlines & without supervision.
  • Should be passionate, self-motivated with positive attitude.
