Job role summary-

You will lead and steer the Plant Quality team by establishing norms and procedures that guide them to audit and monitor the quality standards for conformance of incoming, in process and outgoing products. Further in your role, you will ensure optimum unitization of resources and support the team to achieve the organizations goals.

Your key deliverables will be:

Formulating ways to continuously improve incoming parts rejections and disturbances PPM

Controlling and monitoring activities to ensure adherence to laid down manufacturing processes to minimize line rejections, rework and process variation

Steering analysis and resolution of quality issues with suppliers / internal teams

Driving stringent checks at outgoing station to ensure products are released within PDI and 3 MIS targets

Adopting and upgrading new methodology of quality control through upskilling and training of plant quality team

Collaborating with engineering, vehicle platform, CME, SCM, and QA for improving overall Mfg. quality performance

Implementing Strategic guidelines that have been established by the central quality assurance team

Guiding team to investigate and resolve customer and field complaints including 3 MIS / Internal customer PPM in a timely manner and as per the defined protocols

Supporting smooth introduction of new models for change components, quality approval and processes quality approval

Approving Dimensional quality for new parts ( ECI / New Project ) based on teams review and audit check reports

Initiating plans and processes to make optimum use of quality labs and maintaining statutory calibration schedules

Carrying out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closures along with horizontal deployment

Performing activities to continuously reduce transformation cost and exercising controls and undertaking continuous improvement projects in areas of productivity improvement, inventory reduction, quality improvement, optimum resource utilization and capacity enhancement

Implementing manufacturing excellence initiatives related to product quality, cost, delivery; manufacturing efficiency and operational excellence to exceed customer expectations.

Collaborating with internal and external stake holders, provide support for related activities to ensure timely implementations of different projects by proactively extending necessary information and support
