Job Title

Field Coordinator – NGO - Oragadam, Tamilnadu.

Job Responsibilities

Program Management

Oversee the implementation of the program; day-to-day coordination of program, logistics, and administration functions as directed by the program team.

Coordinate and monitor all ongoing projects interventions, ensuring appropriate planning tools are developed and followed in discussion with the program team.

Monitor logistics support for the implementation of programs.

Anticipate changing needs and emergencies in the field and Provide Immediate Information and recommendations to the program team for budget realignments as required.

Presence in the project site and frequent visits to field sites and conduct supervision of activities.

Facilitate planning exercises in the community to establish a plan of action for implementation of project objectives, as agreed by the program team as per the donor MoU including a timeframe and responsibilities.

Maintain overview / coordination of the implementation of the work plan by ensuring accountability to all focal points and other partner staff.

Monitor, evaluate and support implementation, with complete accountability across the project geographies.

Develop strong collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, for management and operations in order to influence practice towards greater accountability.

Human Resources Management

Contribute to increasing knowledge of stakeholders in the community; Identify trainings needs and resources in the community

Identify, support and motivate youth, women and individual’s community in building their capacity for the project implementation, by information exchange, brainstorming and planning sessions for training and knowledge exchange.

Coordinate training increase their responsibilities in order to build capacity and ensure sustainability of project.

Advocate and plan for future and sustainable development projects for the community

Reporting

Facilitate and assure accurate and well-documented reporting internally, to program team. Assure that such reporting contributes to the effective management of the program and meets donor quality standards and compliance regulations.

Lead the production of reports and ensure timeliness are followed and accuracy of information provided, as well as ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.

Working Relationships

Maintain frequent communication with the program team, technical team and finance about the activities and objectives are followed.

Ensure the coordination of programs are within budgeted targets.

Attend coordination meetings relevant to project activities.

Interface with local administration/ government and relevant agencies to ensure compliance with varying government regulations.

To identify program development opportunities, to contribute to the design of new program concepts and to support partnerships.

Research and record humanitarian and local authority activities, by sector and by region – to identify program gaps and to strengthen coordination of activities and general relationships with other organizations.

Other duties as assigned

Work closely with the Local Government Units to ensure smooth communications

Contribute to the creation of a positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the organizations Code of Conduct, ethics, values and stand-point with regard to internal and external actors.

Ensure application and compliance of security protocols and policies.

Ensure financial considerations are planned for and implemented as per the directions of the programs team

Mandatory

Have experience in planning, budgeting, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects.

Possess strong leadership and administrative skills, proven capacity of leading a team of development professionals and liaising and building networks with NGOs, INGOs, Government and other agencies.

Should be gender and diversity sensitive and have conviction and skills for the empowerment of the Deprived, Excluded and Vulnerable social groups.
