Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for entire weaving process from warp preparation to greige fabric inspection consisting of winding, direct warping, sizing, drawing-in, warp tying, weaving machines (Rapier looms equipped with Cam Shedding and Dobby Shedding).

• Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing and maintenance operations
• Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of all resources - manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital
• Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need
• Manage spending in accordance with approved budgets and in accordance with production volumes
• Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety

Desired Candidate Profile

• Degree in Textile Technology or Engineering from a University of repute.
• 6 years + experience in shop-floor level having Rapier looms including Warp Preparation
• 10 years + experience in a managerial and administrative role of Weaving Shed having 150 to 200 looms
• Must have knowledge in latest weaving manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
