This role will focus on developing DP World subcontinent’s social channel strategy in alignment with Global Group Communications, B2B digital marketing and Commercial strategies, and working in close collaboration with the broader communications organization as needed to enhance our digital and social media program.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a social media strategy with a keen focus on improving our content marketing efforts and generating high-quality sales leads for our Commercial teams. This role will work closely with other members of the subcontinent region functional team, external communications team, commercial teams and executive leadership and Group Comms professionals.

Key responsibilities

Strategy

To develop and manage an ongoing digital communications and marketing strategy that relies heavily on social media and includes:

  • Develop, implement, and manage our digital marketing strategy tailored for B2B audiences.
  • Develop and manage our social media strategy across various platforms (including, but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
  • Develop strategies to generate leads for our B2B commercial team through social media campaigns tied to content marketing programs, events, sponsorships and more.
  • Define and monitor social media KPIs to measure the success of social media campaigns.
  • Interact with members of our Commercial team to discern key messages, services, etc.
  • Manage digital marketing activities such as developing audience personas, geo-targeting, etc.

Planning

To develop and maintain a regional social media strategy, based on:

  • Deep understanding of mainstream social media channels (with extensive knowledge of the LinkedIn platform specifically) and how they function in format (mobile and desktop); knowledge of global usage of these channels is a plus.
  • Define social media KPIs and measure the success of every social media campaign.
  • Be able to manage, edit, publish and share engaging content (e.g., original text, photos, videos, news).
  • Have knowledge of SEO strategies to drive website traffic.
  • Management and input on the selection of appropriate vendors, activities, platforms, and tools
  • Timelines and budget adherence

Implementation

To drive the effective and cost-efficient execution of the plan through:

  • Liaison with HO social media professionals to implement strategy and ensure compliance with ongoing social media policies.
  • Dedicated in-house resources (at the global level) for creation and production.
  • Coordination with colleagues across the subcontinent region and throughout the DP World organization to ensure materials accurately reflect the company’s positioning, messaging and strategic goals.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to ensure leads generated from social media campaigns are followed upon efficiently.

Measurement

To establish and manage an internal dashboard of measurements which:

  • Ability to analyze campaigns and translate/communicate data to contributors/stakeholders. Results and ROI should tie back to marketing/recruitment/branding objectives.
  • Sets targets and monitors performance against targets/KPIs on key objectives.
  • Tracks progress including engagement, follower growth and brand awareness.
  • Measures and reports on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).

To maintain the ability to respond to unplanned changes, including:

  • Short-term opportunities or changes of position
  • Unforeseen internal/external events or competitive initiatives
  • Crisis management and readiness planning

  • Test and validate new approaches to two-way communication with key influencers, market leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Highlight best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications.
  • To constantly adhere to and actively promote behaviours which reflect the Brand Purpose while specifically:
  • Maintaining the highest levels of safety standards
  • Complying with our Principles, Code of Conduct and Ethical policies
  • Meeting all agreed standards for DP World Brand and Visual Identity

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media campaigns.
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels; experience in B2B sales lead generation through social media.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media best practices.
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as SalesForce/Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • A flexible individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get work done.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:

8-10 years of experience as a Digital Marketing Manager or similar role within a B2B context

Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing-related field or other experience managing social media programs.
