Title: Operation Engineer

Reports to: Business Head

Based at: Haldia, West Bengal

Job purpose:

To plan and carry out Operation and Logistic activities of crane engaged in different rental site. To understand customer’s need job requirement and selection of suitable configuration as per the crane Load chart.

Salary: No bar for right candidate

Qualification: Graduate /Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with 6 – 8 years of experience.

Key responsibilities and accountability:

  • To analyze the job details as per client’s requirement and selection of crane configuration accordingly.
  • Responsible for mobilization and demobilization of Crane and Crane components, accessories to different rental sites as per client’s Work Order requirement.
  • Capable to plan and monitor the logistic of Trailer movement for crane and crane components both for Crawler & Mobile crane to different rental sites.
  • To supervise and provide technical support in assembling & dismantling of various cranes at sites with Operation team for proper execution of the job.
  • Require to travel different job site for mobilization of crane, completion erection and commissioning of crane and finally hand over to customer for utilization.
  • To provide technical support/ Planning to Operation team on crane and lifting matters e.g. Critical lift and heavy lift. Checking all the load calculation on rigging tackles operation radius and load chart capacity of cranes (SWL) as per Load Chart as well as risk assessment
  • To coordinate with site Personnel / engineer / Riggers for feedback regarding heavy lift and Practical problems during erection.
  • Capable to prepare of erection schemes/ Heavy Lift Plans of Heavy equipment as per client’s requirement.
  • To maintain proper documentation like TPI, Registration certificate etc. of cranes deployed at rental site with coordination Site In Charge.
  • To maintain a proper asset record of different accessories for various configuration as per model of crane.
  • To train the operators about the safe operation of crane at job site.
