As a People Consultant, you will focus on Googlers, providing timely responses, sharing knowledge and feedback with team members, and balancing the individual needs with Google’s philosophy, principles, and available resources. You will be responsible for mentoring and consulting with colleagues, managers, and leaders to increase overall leadership, team, and organizational effectiveness across Google.

You’ll play an essential role advancing a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive Google through our hiring, promotion, retention, and inclusion practices.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver dynamic consultations around a variety of HR topics aligned to the People Operations’ Menu of Services such as performance enablement, team/manager/leader effectiveness, career development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and navigating transitions.
  • Contribute to deployment of HR programs and processes for a business area and product area.
  • Seek opportunities to identify, recommend, and advance long-term, scalable solutions to drive continuous improvements in people processes, asking for input or buy-in from more senior leaders when needed.
  • Identify key business/product and/or market areas to build network and contribute to cross-team collaboration.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of Google-wide HR policies, local/market legal and regulatory of Google-wide HR policies, and the People Operations’ Menu of Services. Navigate the ecosystem in order to effectively service Googlers, managers, and leaders.
