Micron’s Mobile Business Unit (MBU) is responsible for bringing best-in-class memory and storage products to the smartphone market. As an MBU Product Roadmap Planning Manager you will work with a cross-functional team of Engineers, Product Managers, Executive Teams and Business professionals in developing requirements and product definitions that drive a highly competitive product roadmap that delivers outstanding products to our customers. This is a high visibility, important role that requires a deep understanding of the mobile market, mobile phone systems and architectures, and NAND flash technology. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrix organization and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality products.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks
  • Work directly with the world’s leading smartphone vendors to develop a deep understanding of their needs, problems they’re trying to solve, and the direction the mobile market is going
  • Use insight gained from interactions with the mobile ecosystem to develop outstanding requirements and product definitions for future mobile storage products
  • Work with multi-functional teams to evaluate trade-offs with product features and performance as well as how to align internal resources to the needs of the business
  • Provide inputs to engineering teams on the functionality, quality, usability and supportability of meaningful products and features for key customers.
  • Measure the success of our product requirements to gain a better understanding of how to continually improve our products and the processes we follow
Qualifications

Successful candidates for this position will have:
  • Passion, energy, personal accountability and a desire to develop outstanding products
  • Strong background in mobile storage products, the mobile market, and overall mobile ecosystem
  • Experience in mobile storage technologies UFS, uMCP, eMMC, eMCP, SSD, NAND Flash, Non-volatile memory, Storage, NVMe, PCI Express, SAS, SATA, SCSI preferred but not required.
  • Highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrix organization and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality products
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. This role will be working with both Marketing and Engineering teams to understand customer requirements and balance this with what is achievable by engineering team within cost and schedule boundaries
  • Ability to maintain clear priorities and direction for the product development teams
  • Quick decision-making skills in high pressure environments with limited data or direction
  • Ability to lead, challenge, communicate and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Responsive, organized and detail-oriented
Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in CS, EE or EC, Master’s or an MBA is preferred.

Required Experience

10+ years combined experience in Engineering, Product Management/Design, Product Definition or Product Requirement roles.
