Job Title: Restaurant Cashier

Reports To: General Manager

Job Summary:

The restaurant cashier is responsible for accurately processing payments made by customers and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate must be friendly, hospitable, good at multitasking and have excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers upon arrival, answer questions and provide information about the restaurant menu

• Ring up purchases accurately and handle cash, checks and credit card payments

• Calculate and return change to customers in a timely manner

• Resolve customer complaints or issues as necessary

• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shift to ensure that amounts are correct and there is sufficient change

• Keep the cash register area clean and organized

• Assist with other tasks, such as welcoming guests, taking orders or serving food when necessary

• Follow all restaurant policies and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Basic math skills for accurate counting of money

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays

• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is an added advantage

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking for extended periods

• Bending, reaching, and stooping

Working Conditions:

• Busy and sometimes noisy restaurant environment

• May work irregular hours, nights, or weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Faridabad, Haryana: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
