Sr. PHP developer - LeadWe are looking for a passionate Sr. PHP developer to design, develop and install software solutions with 8-10 years of experience. Youre a highly skilled, detail-oriented PHP Developer, well-versed in modern best practices like Test Driven Development and Object-Oriented Programming. Experience with writing code for WordPress as a CMS and its plugins. Experience working with SaaS/RESTful APIs. Comfortable in back-end and front-end development, often integrating PHP with client-side frameworks and Ajax. Proficient in code customization and dynamic code implementation. Help us evolve and improve our customer experience, online checkout, product access, marketing/SEO site-tuning and analytics systems. Help us build/find better tooling for local development: eg automated testing, CI/CD workflows, error logging.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation according to the requirements, design and solutions
• Work with creative and strategy teams to develop websites and web applications using HTML, WordPress (and its plugins) and other CMS platforms.
• Write well-designed, testable code
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
• Comply with project plans and industry standards
• Ensure software is updated with latest features
• Strong work ethic plus ability to multi-task.
• Other duties as assigned
• Proven software development experience in PHP (8 years+ required)
• In-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented PHP (v5.x through v7.x) and OO design patterns
• Must have successfully created large scale PHP web applications running using a PHP framework. Nice to have experience working on.Net framework.
• Strong knowledge of Model-View-Controller paradigm & Namespaces.
• Experience with PHP frameworks like Zend, Yii, Slim, Laravel, etc.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environment.
• Strong understanding of programming concepts and relational databases. Working knowledge of MySQL and SQL server.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, JSON, and multi-threaded web services.
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX etc
• Strong real-life technical problem solving and data design skills to build solutions.
• Good knowledge of git version control tools, and experience collaborating with a team of developers.
• Adhere to Product and workflow processes, engage with the team to make continual improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, document requirements and specifications

Desired Candidate Profile

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and excellent listening skills.

Additional Skills:

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, along with Zoho, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Git.Familiarity with common third-party APIs, Payment Gateways, etc.
