Position Overview:

Boeing India Indirect Supply Chain team is currently looking for Senior Procurement Agent to join their team in Boeing India Engineering Technology Center (BIETC), Davanahalli, Bangalore, India. This team seeks a highly skilled Supply Chain Procurement, Sourcing and Contracting professional.

This will be an individual contributor position in a growing global organization. The individual will partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to expand Indirect Supply Chain delivery model while ensuring service delivery excellence to all business partners.

The ideal candidate shall have desired to work in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.

Candidate is required to be flexible to be able to accommodate business requirements that span multiple time zones and may require to do occasional travel. Candidate having prior international experience and working with diverse group of people and cultures specifically in Asia Pacific Region will be an added advantage.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate fundamental contract and relationship management skills, with proven experience at all phases of the procurement / contract cycle for projects and commodities at all project phases.

  • Must have excellent analytical, Project Management and Category Management skills and competent to drive and implement category strategy across global sites.

  • Candidate Should have individually managed a minimum annual spend of $50M in managing Commodities like: Integrated Facilities Management Services, Security & Fire Protection Services, Lab Instruments & Equipment Procurement, Professional Services, Human Resources Services, Construction and Interior Fit Out Contracts, Tooling and Capital Equipment Procurement.

  • Prior experience of managing Procurement / sourcing in Asia Pacific Region

  • Prepare, develop and execute Contracting strategies that would result in year-over-year cost savings to the company

  • Lead the negotiation of contract legal terms and conditions, with full competency.

  • Lead cross functional teams to resolve supplier performance issues and support the development of strategic supplier solutions.

  • Lead supply chain process improvement initiative to identify improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.

  • Works with internal customers to formalize and implement procurement requirements via creative and effective contracting approaches.

  • Manage Procure to Pay Cycle

  • Ensures contract compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Manages contract terminations (i.e. transitions, wind down, etc.).

  • Leads suppliers and stakeholders in the development of risk, issues and opportunities management plans.

  • Independently leads project reviews.

  • Possess strong networking and intelligence gathered from the industry colleagues to get market and peer benchmarking insight and actionable data to integrate into current and future contracting and supply base strategies.

  • Manages, monitor and analyse supplier performance.

  • Provides direction to suppliers to improve performance and ensure contractual requirements are met. Manages import and export regulatory requirements. Manage issues including escalation and early identification of risks.

  • Track and mitigate different risk related to supplier and business.

  • Participate in Internal Audits as required. Comply with organization’s policies and Processes, as relevant to the role and enforce compliance, procedure wherever necessary.

  • Innovation management – Support the leadership with strategy and contribute to continuous process improvement including action as a Subject Matter Expert for a selected process and mentoring other team members.

  • The Indirect Supply Chain team is spread across the world, which may require work with time flexibility in supporting virtual meetings outside normal work hours as per projects.

  • Provides guidance to procurement agents managing low value spends to align with category/contract strategy.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ideal candidate must possess 12+ years of total experience with minimum 10+ Years into Procurement & Contracting, handling Indirect Procurement categories, working with Global stakeholders including managing Asia Pacific team with core experience in Manufacturing and Services industry.

  • Experience conducting business in an international environment is desirable.

  • Proven experience in indirect procurement and supplier management for Asia Pacific Region.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Able to establish relationships across geographical boundaries and cultures.

  • Able to navigate different levels in the organization.

  • Able to handle ambiguity in times of rapid transformation and change.

  • Technical excellence.

  • Passionate about managing suppliers.

  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical or non-US equivalent is preferred. International certifications such as CIPS in Professional procurement would be an added advantage.

  • Additional certification or Post Graduation in Procurement, Sourcing, Logistics, Supply Chain is preferrable.

  • Experience with Global Supply Chain Organization is strongly desired.

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Typically 12-16 years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (eg. bachelor, master, etc) preferred but not required.”
