As a member of the team, the primary job will be to work as Lead engineer in Android Telephony Projects. Involves in understanding technical requirements, provide inputs for estimation and schedule, handle independently the development activities in the Telephony, supports in specification/document preparation, evaluation and certification, communicate with customer to address the issues and involves in timely and quality delivery to customer. Involves in leading and mentoring a five member team and also work with cross functional teams in the Android OS.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • 5-8 years of experience in Android Telephony framework development.
  • Good Embedded and android system knowledge.
  • Hands on with very good programming skills C, C++ and Java.
  • Experience in any embedded android telephony framework RIL QMI, Voice calls, Data connection, SMS/MMS, Volte.
  • Working experience with Qualcomm chipset and modem software stack.
  • Involved in carrier testing and certification and carrier feature implementation.
  • Strong understanding and work experience in Android Framework (AIDL, JNI and Binder IPC).
  • Good communication skill and ability to work with cross functional teams.
  • Individual contributor with good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Should have exposure with tools like GIT, Jenkins and related tools.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of embedded platforms and working closely with android BSP, middleware and application team
  • Fair understanding on Hardware, Schematics, Peripheral devices and communication protocols
