Designation: Tele Sales Specialist

Some common tasks and responsibilities:

  • Make outbound calls to prospective customers from a provided list or database.
  • Introduce and promote products or services to potential customers over the phone.
  • Follow a scripted sales pitch to provide information about the product or service being offered.
  • Engage potential customers in conversation, address their inquiries, and overcome objections.
  • Identify and qualify leads based on predetermined criteria.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and outcomes of calls.
  • Achieve individual and team-based sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Update customer information, such as contact details or call outcomes, in the company’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to pass on qualified leads and relevant customer information.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve sales processes and scripts.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, features, and benefits to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Follow up with potential customers who have shown interest but haven’t made a purchase.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships through excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Adhere to company policies, call quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle customer complaints or escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Meet productivity and call volume targets as set by the team lead or supervisor.
  • Attend regular training sessions or workshops to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a tele-caller, telemarketer, or in a similar outbound sales role.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and pleasant telephone voice.
  • Ability to engage and build rapport with potential customers over the phone.
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills.
  • Active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM software or similar tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Goal-oriented mindset and motivation to achieve sales targets.
  • Resilience and persistence in handling objections and rejection.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, if required.
