Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

To protect the exposure and risks arising from merchant acquisition by assessing potential merchants for recruitment within the confines of the Credit Policy.
Analyze a variety of supplementary information and data contained in the merchant application, E.g. financial accounts, acquirer statements.
Seek additional information from Seller, communicating requirements in a clear and concise manner.
Calculate potential exposure.
Produce sound commercial risk decisions within allocated DP and make recommendations where outside DP.
Determine deposit/collateral amounts.
Ensure day-to-day operational process is consistent, correctly done and fully documented.
Liaise with, and promote/maintain good working relationships with other risk and operations teams.
Accompany Field Sellers on potential high risk merchant visits, being able to clearly explain the risk associated with each particular business.
Liaise with merchants and Bank Relationship Managers where necessary.
Produce timely, accurate and meaningful Management Information, which are also maintained correctly.
Develop an understanding of job content, systems and operational procedures of the other Risk teams.
