Job Title:Video Producer, The Telegraph Online

Description:

Are you a seasoned storyteller with a keen interest in global news? The Telegraph Online is looking for an experienced Video Producer to join our innovative team. As a Video Producer, you will be instrumental in shaping and delivering news content through compelling short form, long form, and in-depth videos.

Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated on news around the world.
  • Plan news videos for the day, ensuring coverage of key events.
  • Script and produce short form and long form news videos, in-depth explainers, and analysis pieces.
  • Edit reels/shorts to create visually impactful content.
  • Ensure all videos and reels meet the company’s quality standards and brand consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with reporters, editors, social media teams, and graphic designers to create engaging and informative content.
  • Stay updated on new trends and tools to bring fresh ideas to scripts and videos.
  • File text stories accompanying videos for comprehensive news coverage.
  • Write clean headlines, teasers, and thumbnail text for videos.
  • Upload videos and reels on YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms.

Skills:

  • Degree in English, journalism, media, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of working experience as a Video Producer.
  • Experience in scriptwriting and video production.
  • Nose for news - ability to identify and prioritize news stories.
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Thorough knowledge of filing stories on Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Keen eye for details and aesthetics.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, media, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of relevant working experience as a Video Producer.

Location:Kolkata

Compensation:According to industry standards and commensurate with experience.
