We have been informed of instances where jobseekers are led to believe of fictitious job opportunities with Deloitte India (“Deloitte”). In one or more such cases, false promises of actual or potential selection, or initiation or completion of the recruitment formalities appear to have been or are being made. Executive Manager – Testing Operations Lead - Hyderabad/Bengaluru

As the QA Test Manager Ops Lead, you will be responsible for the direction and execution of all operational test activities conducted across the Deloitte IT estate for UK, Switzerland, Netherlands and other EU countries. Key areas of responsibility are: Process management & continual improvement; Test Management & Execution Support; staff management. Your responsible for ensuring that all infrastructure and back-end changes have adequate testing being conducting and that windows as a service test activity are being conducted in line with our Test Framework. You will be required to ensure a smooth transition of testing from projects and that all test scripts are being maintained and up to date.

As the QA Test Manager Ops Lead based in India, there will be significant support and management of test staff resources – both direct and indirect reports.

Hands on a key project able to steer the group to success being able to implement and exercise automation.

Main Accountabilities

Process Management & Continual Improvement 30%

Provide input into refining & improving Testing Methodology, controls & reporting strategies
Implementation of test processes for all operational test activities: Desktop package testing, hardware testing, Change QA, Windows as a Service testing, desktop automation
Ensuring testing is performed in accordance with Deloitte standards and testing best practices.
Ensuring the team is adequately trained and prepared for test activities
Establishing and implementing strong entry criteria and handover from project-driven testing into the operational test team members
Working with key stakeholders in the identification and proactive resolution of process-related risks and issues.
Refining & improving Team resourcing models to ensure team can adequately face up to peaks & troughs in workload.
Identifying and implementing continual improvements to our Test Frameworks
Establishing and ensuring that SLAs are being met
Communicating and working closely with key stakeholders: Change & Release, End User Tech Teams, Software Asset Management, Problem Management, Transition, Test Managers
Supporting the development of the test team by leading an internal focus area. This may be along the lines of: running & maintaining internal lessons learnt or risk discussions; evaluating future test trends and presenting to the team; identifying and owning continual improvement opportunities within the team; testing and trialling new test toolsets.

Test Management and Execution Support 30%

Supporting team members in test planning, development of test scenarios & reporting. These must be written so they are understood and actioned by other parties both internal and external.
Overseeing the Test Analysts in their execution efforts to ensure testing is performed in accordance with Deloitte standards and best practices.
Reviewing testing work products and deliverables.
Providing status reports to Project Managers & Senior Management Team.
Supporting test execution as and when required
Liaise with business and ITS stakeholders, including Partners and Directors

Staff Management 40%

Management duties for team members of the Testing Team, whether full time, managed service or offshore.
Assisting with the integration of new test team members to ensure they adhere to Deloitte testing standards
Contributing to resource management discussions to ensure adequate representation from the team is maintained at all times.
Check-ins & performance reviews for the staff under your management reporting line.
Supporting test team members based in India in their development, training and testing work
Attract, retain, motivate, coach and develop team members for high performance.

3 years + Test Management experience
3 years + Senior Test Analyst experience
3 years + experience in test automation functional / non-functional
2 years+ experience in working as an IT service management professional
A thorough knowledge of Windows 8 and 10 operating systems, Windows 10 Evergreen (WaaS), Office 2013 and Citrix environments.
Agile understanding and experience in working in a scrum team
ITIL Foundation level certification. Higher qualifications in this area are desirable
ISEB Software Testing Foundation & Practitioner level certification is mandatory. Higher qualifications in this area are desirable.
5 years + experience managing team members (in both offshore and onshore locations)
Demonstrated ability in applying repeatable quality assurance process and methods to enterprise wide technology projects or initiatives.
In depth knowledge of HP QTP/UFT and HP ALM/Quality Center. A good knowledge of Jira and Test Rail. An awareness of other testing tools would be advantageous.
A thorough knowledge of Test Methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall, V-Model etc.
A professional and confident style, with drive & enthusiasm and with a strong ability to multi-task.
Strong management, communication, technical and remote collaboration skills are a must with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with staff at all levels.
Ability to build good relationships & conduct effective technical discussions with clients, peers and senior staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong administrative skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage a group of Test Professionals (including, Manual, Performance & Automated Test resources) from disparate resource models
Ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organisation environment
