Business Title: Executive OIS Installation

Skills Must have:
Strong technical knowledge on Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting of:
  • Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016,
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, IIS, File & Print Servers,
  • Dell Servers, Autoloaders, Tape Drives, Backups, HP Printers, Juniper firewalls,
  • Citrix XenApp 6.5/7.6/7.15,
  • MSSQL Server, RDBMS databases,
  • Virtualization technologies like VMWare, vCloud etc.
  • Strong customer handling skills
  • Quick learner, flexible to work during odd working hours, multitasking skills and excellent team player.
  • Ready to travel: 20 -40%
  • Shifts: 24x7 ( 2 weeks rotational shifts)
Skills Good to have:
  • Healthcare IT domain knowledge
  • DICOM/HL7 knowledge
  • Database migration/upgrade experience
  • Microsoft certified MCSE or MCSA (Windows 2008/ 2008R2/ 2012/ 2016)/ Citrix XenApp & Desktop certified (7.6/7.15)
Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
  • Physical installation of Dell Racks, Dell Servers, Robotic autoloaders, Tape Backup Drives, Printers, Dell workstations etc..
  • Creating a LAN, Rack cabling, Assigning IP Addresses, etc
  • Installation of Active Directory, DNS, IIS, MSSQL, Sybase, Databases at Varian’s customer sites
  • Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Citrix 7.6/7.15
  • Installation & upgrades of Varian softwares onsite or remotely from office using tools developed by Varian.
  • Installation, Configuration of Backup softwares, Juniper firewalls, etc
  • This is a customer facing role, which expects customer handling skills, performing acceptance procedures with customer and getting documents signed from customers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Master s degree in a technical discipline (B.E./B.Tech/ B.Sc (Comp)/MCA/M.Sc. (Comp))
Note: Right candidate would be the one who have above technical skills and is ready to travel 20-40 % . Ready to work in challenging conditions at Varian’s customer sites. This profile is for the strong, tactful, quick learner, flexible candidates who can work under time pressure, and during odd working hours to deliver projects on time.
  • Performs highly visible on-site and remote software installations and upgrades of all Varian Software products, which includes troubleshooting and diagnosis as needed.

- Works with physical and virtual environments, operating systems, databases and other software and networking technologies. Reviews scope of work for assigned tasks to ensure all hardware and software components are available. - Reviews customer IT infrastructure and project plans to ensure they meet documented installation requirements.

  • Completes all necessary task documentation to meet Varian’s Quality processes and procedures.
  • Maintains customer system inventories using Site Equipment Configuration documentation or equivalent.
  • Keeps current on Varian products and technologies through both internal and external training and certification.

- Creates and maintains an account with VCS (Vendor Credentialing System). - Teams with project management, local service and hardware installation teams to provide World Class Customer Service.

  • Requires limited direct supervision.

Applicable to the Oncology Systems business only:

  • Position must have full access to VMS client sites to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Many VMS clients require VMS employees and representatives to meet certain “Vendor Credentialing” requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites.
  • Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access, and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of VMS employment in this position.
  • Performs upgrades and new installations as well as team leader duties on small to medium scale software projects.
  • Input detailed records of installation and upgrade work performed into company information systems to ensure accurate updated customer installation information is available to other VMS functions.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism and safety according to VMS guidelines and customer regulations in order to perform activities under the safest working conditions.
  • Report by means of FSR’s, time sheets, expense reports, etc. regularly and in a timely fashion to ensure that accurate company statistical data on customer-oriented activities is available.
  • Complete all required installation documentation that pertains to the job being completed and update all requested and/or required data for tracking purposes as per the applicable Varian’s Quality processes and procedures.
  • Use prescribed problem-resolution escalation procedures and request technical assistance when necessary in a timely manner.
  • Attend planning calls and provide technical input as needed.
  • Advise customers on where to find Customer Technical Bulletins, Release Notes and related product information and why these documents are important.
  • Use prescribed problem-resolution escalation procedures and request technical assistance when necessary in a timely manner.
  • Advise less experienced Installation Representatives in technical matters.

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proficient computer usage and debugging skills Knowledge of and sound professional experience with Microsoft based server operating systems Customer focused attitude Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication Fluency in the local language and in English, both written and spoken

Other Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of networks and networking techniques
  • Functional knowledge of Citrix and VMWare technologies

Required Certifications and Training:

  • Completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility Complete company-provided training certification path within prescribed timelines.

Applicable to the Oncology Systems business only :

  • Meets all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to gain VMS client site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver’s license, SSN) Criminal background checks Drug screens Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus) Annual TB testing Healthcare trainings Experience Level with Business Tools: Familiar with business tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and time reporting systems.
  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience 1-3 years of directly related and transferrable experience
