Position summary

The EY GDS Assurance team is looking for a Senior Manager to build and grow our Managed Service solution in Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for working closely with FAAS Partners and Senior Managers on client engagements across Americas, EMEIA and APAC. In addition to managing Managed Service solutioning, the individual will provide technical support, grow the GDS Assurance services portfolio and coach Managers and Assistant Managers.

The Senior Manager should have extensive experience in solutioning of large-scale Record to Report and FP&A Managed Services. While the Senior Manager will be based either in our Gurgaon or Bangalore office, the individual will be required to travel to other countries (on a short to medium–term basis) to handle client engagements.

You will report to the Global FAAS GDS Leader and work closely with the other global FAAS and regional FAAS leadership teams as well as global delivery and enablement teams

Primary responsibilities

• Lead Managed Service solution build out including the team and delivery approach in GDS FAAS
• Lead large multiple client engagements in Finance & Accounting Managed Service space
• Support complex global pursuits as a solution architect
• Strategic support to individual global Managed Service solution/ offering leaders in solution development/ build out of global offering
• Coordinate tools and technology developments/ 3rd party Alliances propositions

Solution architecture and pursuit support

• Work on complex global pursuits as a solution architect collaboratively with Cross Service line teams, Subject matter resources and clients
• Work with Global and GDS cross service line Managed Service leads to define and agree FAAS role in large deals

Service delivery – Solutioning, transition, automation

• Oversee transition, solution deployment including resourcing, location, technology and integration.
• Develop deep understanding of the client’s current state process to build a plan for efficiencies through automation post transition and stabilization
• Support development of assets, delivery enablers, development of standardized and data driven delivery approach, automation and opportunities to deliver continuous improvement
• Lead and support set up and operational deployment of Project Management office

Manage and develop people

• Build and lead a team of Managers, Assistant Managers and Seniors and make sure the team delivers high–quality work, per EY Global methodology, on time and to budget
• Conduct FAAS team performance reviews, serve as a positive leader and mentor, and contribute to the team performance and career development
• Identify development opportunities and training needs for high performing Manager, Assistant Managers and Seniors

Manage business and clients

• Actively support the Americas, EMEIA and APAC FAAS leadership both in terms of growth as well as quality initiatives
• Enhance relationships with global teams and leverage connections to identify opportunities for work at GDS
