Position:Footwear Designer, Female (Freelance/Work from Home /Full Time)

Location: Remote/Kerala/India

We are looking for a talented Footwear Designer who will be responsible for designing and creating footwear collections that meet the needs of our customers. The successful candidate will have a passion for design, a strong understanding of the market, and a keen eye for detail. This position is freelance and offers the opportunity to work from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop footwear designs that meet the needs of our customers, including seasonal collections and special editions
  • Stay current on fashion trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques
  • Collaborate with other designers, product developers, and marketers to develop product concepts and bring them to market
  • Create detailed product specifications, including sketches, colorways, and material swatches
  • Work with manufacturers to ensure that designs are produced to the highest quality standards and within the specified timelines
  • Provide guidance to product development and production teams during the sampling process to ensure that designs are translated correctly
  • Attend trade shows and other events to stay current on industry trends and gather inspiration for future designs
  • Any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design or related field
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in footwear design, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong understanding of materials, construction, and manufacturing techniques used in footwear design
  • Excellent sketching and visualization skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with remote teams
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating relevant design experience
