What Are We Looking For?

Contentstack is looking for an ApplicationEngineer - Fullstack. (80% Frontend and 20% Backend Role)

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Work with pre-sales team to enhance demos and create custom code showcasing our product and how customers use it.
  • Build working and demonstratable prototypes using new technologies and integrations quickly.
  • Assist the sales team in technical research as we make our customers dreams come true
  • Work across the stack from a code commit to running it in production, with the end goal of delivering the best possible experience for the user
  • Design, develop and test features from inception to rollout
  • Write high quality code that is scalable, testable, maintainable and reliable
  • Collaborate with people across roles to understand the domain and work towards building the right solution
  • Adopt an open mindset for learning new things and working in new roles
  • Continuously improve by working on and providing feedback
Mandatory Skills :
  • Strong frontend development skills, particularly focused around design
  • Experience working with NodeJS on the backend and ReactJS/VueJS on the frontend
  • Experience working with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Good understanding of static site generator Gatsby/NextJS/NuxtJS
  • An eye for design - Contentstack’s customers include marketers who care about how something looks more so than how well it works, it’s important that everything we build look naturally good without going through designs or design reviews and rounds of QA
  • Balancing “perfect” with good-enough. As a member of the pre-sales team, speed and “demoability” are key. There’s always more cool things to build!
  • Understands the value of writing unit tests and automated tests
  • Understands how code is integrated, deployed and run in production
  • Experience developing and pushing NPM modules. (SDKs, Scripts, Solutions)
  • Good understanding of the GitHub workflow.
  • Exposure to databases like MongoDB, Redis, and/or any Relational databases is preferred
  • Foundational understanding of Object Oriented Programming and/or Functional Programming concepts is preferred
  • Understands serverless technologies, such as lambda functions preferred.
