Assistant Accountant

A brief on what we expect

Supporting the accountant and management team by completing routine accounting tasks, preparing budgets, maintaining reports, and completing basic bookkeeping and accounting duties for the company.

What are your deliverables at the job?

  • Preparing financial documents like invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivables
  • Completing purchase orders
  • Managing payroll
  • completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
  • Completing bank reconciliation
  • Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
  • Verifying bank deposits
  • Managing day-to-day transactions
  • Recoding office and business expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget
  • Assisting the finance department and senior accounting staff members with the various task, including preparing budgets, records, and statements
  • Managing monthly budgeting task
  • Sorting financial documents and posting them to proper accounts
  • Reviewing computer reports for accuracy and meticulously tracing errors back to their source
  • Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods.
  • Assisting Projects with financial documents and follow up

You’d fit it if you have:

  • 0-1 year of experience in a similar role. Freshers can apply
  • Excellent organizing abilities
  • Greater attention to details
  • Good with number and figures and an analytical acumen
  • Good with understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance, or relevant fields
