  • Role & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overall Procurement-to-Pay process of Spares, Services and General items, MRO, Raw material and Capex items of Harsco Metal and Minerals.
  • Ensure proper communications with site teams and develop strong internal client relationship to understand and meet key business requirements.
  • Establish service contracts with services providers and benchmarking pricing across various site service providers and work on streamlining the costs.
  • Entering long-term agreements / AMC / FMC with all OEM suppliers and Service agreements with all local service providers
  • Adhering to global procurement policies and procedures.
  • Floating of RFQ / compile offers /obtain technical validation. Formulate negotiation strategy and get clearance to negotiate
  • Placement of order as per covering all terms and conditions
  • Good knowledge of Import procurements, dealing with Clearing Agents and Customs Activities
  • Ensuring smooth supply of items to enable uninterrupted production
  • Achieving targeted saving
  • Coordination with all user departments / internal customers
  • Preparation of MIS and weekly / monthly review with HOD
  • Resolve all purchase issues and coordinate with internal customers (user dept.) / Supply Vendors / Freight Vendors/ accounts payable department to process all invoices against Short supply, Rejections – poor quality and inferior performances, Pending payments, expediting delivery etc.
  • The key focus area:
  • Identify suppliers, capabilities, share of business, products pricing to establish standardization of rates for all requirements within scope. Where ever relevant establish Blanket Purchase agreements (BPA) and Contract Purchase agreement (CPA)/ (Annual Rate Contracts/ agreements)
  • Establish service contracts with services providers and benchmarking pricing across various site service providers and work on streamlining the costs.
  • Be proactive and manage internal and external customer expectations.
  • Monitor and control logistic efficiencies
  • B.E/B.Tech
  • Preferably MBA / Not compulsory for the right candidates,
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in purchase & commercial function preferably in the continuous process industry
  • Experience in handling the procurement of Mining, Material Handling, Earth Moving, Mobile equipment & parts independently
  • Procurement of category spent (OpEx) not less than Rs 6 Cr / year
  • Product knowledge (cost structure, lead time, technical features)
  • Should have knowledge of Imports, clearing & forwarding, etc.
  • Negotiation skills (Techno commercial negotiations, Cost Saving initiatives)
  • Knowledge of contract law (terms and conditions) statutory / safety and legal compliances.
  • Should be an Expert in Excel / Word / PPT
  • Maintain proper documentation & procedures
