Data warehousing Operations Engineer

Position Overview

This position will be based in our Enterprise Delivery Center, located in Bangalore, India. Our Enterprise Delivery Center is focused on customer satisfaction and comprised of highly skilled and well-motivated Support Analysts. This position comes with expectations around excellence and efficient resolution for Bigdata Tools and services support and incident management. This position will be focused on handling critical incidents and resolution for DW Operations support service for our global customers.

Responsibilities

• Administration and Maintenance of various Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing platforms such as Business Objects, Informatica, QlikView and Enterprise Data Stores, Data Warehouses and Data Marts.
• Support and Monitor the operational readiness of the platforms
• Troubleshoot issues and work with other teams or vendor to resolve infrastructure related issues (i.e. Server, Network, Database) or product issues where appropriate.
• Take corrective action to avert system degradations or possible outages from OS and application layer
• Troubleshoot system outages/issues
• Coordinate and collaborate with multiple teams in investigating problems and provide root cause analysis during major and critical outages.
• Drive and improve performance, scalability and availability of application resources.
• Automate the manual processes using suitable scripting language
• Implement preventative and corrective measures
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 7 years of progressive professional experience
• Administration Experience with Informatica and Business Objects, Qlikview, etc.
• Experience in Oracle or SQL Server databases and experience writing SQL queries/shell scripting
• Any Certifications on AWS would be added advantage.
• Experience in working with multiple global teams and cultures
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and ability to work in a scrum team
• Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to comfortably work in a fast paced, dynamic and event driven environment.
• Availability for shift work
