Overview:

  • BY, a leading AI-driven Global Supply Chain Solutions Software Product Companyand one of Glassdoor’s “ Best Places To Work” is seeking a leader that has a strong technical foundation for the product development and engineering team. This leader will have a deep knowledge of industry best practices on development methodologies (Agile, SAFe, Kanban…) and leverage the same to inspire and motivate the team towards consistent and quality delivery of our solution to market.
  • With the increasing focus on e-commerce, seamless logisticswill be at the forefront of Supply Chain solutions, now and in the coming years. You will be a core leaderof our Warehouse solutions including warehouse management, labor and task management, robotics, etc.

Our Tech Environment:

  • A hybrid technology stack which includes applications in classic 3-tier architecture as well as native SaaS multi-tenant applications with microservices architecture.
  • Applications with a classical 3-tier architecture deployment in customer’s data centers as well on BlueYonder Azure and private cloud, being continuously transformed to provide API accessibility, scalability, resilience, and cost margins of a SaaS offering
  • Native SaaS products on Azure with microservices architecture using Kubernetes, Docker, Spring Boot, Ignite, Kafka, Elastic Search, etc.

Our ideal candidate skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience in leading engineering and customer service teams delivering enterprise-grade cloud native or cloud hosted applications and systems to scale.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and delivering microservices based architecture on Cloud.
  • Expert knowledge of Development methodologies (Agile, SAFe, Kanban etc.) and the ability to adapt depending on the need.
  • Experience in engaging closely with customers’ to understand future requirements, defining roadmaps and engaging in retention strategies.
  • Leveraging objective use of data and KPIs to organize and report on Engineering / Customer Support / Cloud from planning through delivery.
  • Quality-first mindset with a data-driven root causing approach to bring change in product, process, and people.
  • Prior experience working in a team of team’s approach to align processes across product, sales, deploy and operate teams in ensuring customer success.
  • Meaningful certifications in any public cloud architecture, orchestration/ containerization tools like Kubernetes, messaging products such as Kafka, etc.
  • Prior hands-on development experience and a career path that shows progression in leadership.
  • Define strategies for revenue growth with focus on optimizing operations across functions to leverage margins.

What you’ll do?

  • Responsible for blueprint and delivery of all key services in our Retail and warehouse management solution, on-time, to scope and within the budget.
  • Ability to rally and motivate teams towards the organization’s goals, OKRs and good business outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and delivery of capabilities in a cost efficient and timely manner
  • Collaborate with the global team across Product (PD, PMG) and the broader organization in helping achieve consensus on key topics.
  • Drive architecture and designs to become simpler, more robust, and more efficient.
  • Provide early visibility and mitigation to challenges through the journey.
  • Confidently represents product and portfolio, including vision and functional and technical roadmaps, within the company and, when necessary, to customers.
  • Motivate and drive large teams with multiple functions (Development , Support , Cloud , Consulting) to collaborate and contribute by adopting integrated delivery model with focus on leveraging the technical and solution skills based on customer priorities.
  • Responsible for overall solution delivery with focus on future strategy, investment, technology adoption, cost efficiencies, customer retention.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Preferred) and minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in Software development / Customer Support / Cloud Operations. Ideally a candidate who started as a developer and progressed through the leadership path working with engineering teams / Support teams.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading enterprise cloud solutions (we use Azure) end to end (Planning through Delivery).
  • Experience working with global teams and driving successful outcomes for organizations through delivery of quality software solutions.
  • Good working knowledge and interests in Cloud native architecture, distributed micro-services, multi-tenant SaaS solution and cloud scalability, performance, and high availability.
  • Experience with API management platforms & providing / consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and infrastructure automation will be an advantage.
  • Any cloud and DevOps related certifications will be helpful.
  • Ability to handle customer escalations and respond quickly to business needs.
