Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion Designer at Yubari Projects Pvt. Ltd. located in Panipat. As a designer at Yūbari Projects, you will be responsible for creating designs and patterns inspired by the textiles and ensure that our collections are aligned with the brand’s identity. As a designer, your key responsibilities are:

Design Leadership:

  • Lead the design process from initial concept to final execution, ensuring authenticity and alignment with the brand’s vision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of design concepts.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Create detailed sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings to communicate design ideas to the production team.
  • Create patterns and samples of the designs.
  • Oversee and guide the pattern-making and sample creation processes to ensure accurate translation of designs into physical garments.

Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with production teams to monitor the quality and craftsmanship of the finished products.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure designs meet the brand’s standards and specifications.

Team Collaboration:

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Work closely with the design team, pattern makers, and production staff to streamline the design-to-production process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • At leases 3 years of experience as a Fashion Designer.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing original designs and creative concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, fabrics, other materials and garment construction.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, sketching, draping and sewing.
  • Excellent communicative and collaborative skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Fluency in languages : Hindi and English.
  • Knowledge of the production process to ensure designs can be manufactured cost-effectively and on-time.
