POSITION DESCRIPTION

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will serve as a Business Partner and lead contact for employees and stakeholders in assigned areas, primarily India and the Asia Pacific region within the Global IT function.

You will work closely with the Global IT function and will offer strategic and operational expertise in all people areas across the employee lifecycle. You will also work alongside teams of subject matter experts (e.g. compensation and benefits, L&D) and operational support teams to support on day-to-day and cyclical processes ranging from employee onboarding to quarterly performance management appraisals.

This role is responsible for creating a culture where our employees are valued members of BCG, can manage their careers to meet their personal aspirations, and drive outcomes in line with BCGs business objectives. This role requires extensive collaboration and the ability to work in a highly matrixed global environment.

  • Meet stakeholders to discuss IT people matters
  • Provide guidance on organizational and team design, location decisions, career pathing, performance management and employee and management capability building in line with strategy
  • Be a proactive, approachable and highly visible participant within the GS New Delhi office and be the face and point person for IT HR for assigned client group
  • Ensure IT new joiners are successfully onboarded into the IT function and feel supported and acclimated into the wider global IT function
  • Influence and build strong and trusted relationships with people within the assigned region
  • Act as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams that are implementing new people approaches
  • Provide HR guidance/expertise to strategic organization change initiatives within Global Services
  • Act as an employee champion and change agent. Work closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention, building a culture where our employees are empowered to raise topics and have trust they will be managed with sensitivity, confidentiality, professionalism and parity.
  • Oversee career development for our employees, including clarification of our career framework, creation and communication of learning and development opportunities to build capability and expertise, Line Manager coaching etc.
  • Support the successful implementation of the annual performance management process for GS employees to support individual and business goals
  • Manage and engage in workplace and employee relations issues and topics
  • Contribute to the overall GS people agenda including analysis, interpretation and communication of employee engagement survey outcomes and creation of related action plans
  • Develop, maintain, and respond to performance metrics within the IT function

YOU’RE GOOD AT

  • Communicating and building relationships at all levels, including executive presence when dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Operating as a key business adviser and subject matter expert with assigned functional team(s) through business knowledge, relationship management and proactive interventions
  • Demonstrating the ability to understand business goals and market trends and leverage this insight to recommend and influence new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company
  • Acting as a catalyst for change; guides and directs organizational design, development and change management solutions
  • Coaching stakeholders on complex management and HR issues including development and talent performance and issues, which could have the potential to create a competitive advantage for the business
  • Collaborating with HR colleagues world-wide and other functional HRBPS to execute Global IT and HR initiatives

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Preferred 8+ years of HR/strategy consulting experience, or relevant experience in professional services environment strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate degree in business, management or Human Resources is preferred
  • Strong employee relations experience and ability to manage and coach employee relations interventions in line with policy including performance improvement plans and complaints and grievances processes
  • Preferred, experience in supporting technology client groups within a professional service; tech-company or blue-chip global organization
  • Track record of driving business value through effective and aligned HR strategy and services and guiding teams through periods of change and growth
  • A depth of experience in employee development, management coaching, organizational design, recruiting, compensation, employee relations, training, and HR project management and program implementation
  • Able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented, and matrix-structured environment and to interpret rules and guidelines flexibly to enhance the business
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, executive presence, and trust/credibility with the demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proven ability to diagnose problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred, strong international experience and an understanding of dealing with the cultural nuances of other geographies

YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be a key member of the Global Services Human Resources team working closely to align functionally with the Global Services IT Function. You will operate in global team, reporting to a Senior HR Manager based in London.
